City of Geneva  Sewer Improvement Work Update:

Geneva DPW continues sewer improvement work at multiple locations throughout the city. A map of current project areas is included above. This work remains ongoing as of December 1.

  • Pleasant Street (between Maxwell Ave and Oak Street) will continue to be affected.

  • Twomey Pl, Park Ave, Prospect Ave, North Ave, and Larchmont St have been completed.

  • Expect temporary lane closures and alternating traffic patterns in active work zones.

  • Parking and through-traffic may be limited during work hours; parking restrictions will be issued by the City DPW.

  • Work is expected to continue for approximately two weeks, but all schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen conditions.

For questions, please contact Kevin Reed at (315) 789-3101 or email complaints@cityofgenevany.gov.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this important infrastructure project.

Castle Street Reconstruction Update
From Director Venuti

The Castle Street Reconstruction Project is approximately 18% complete. To date, the sanitary sewer main has been lined, new laterals have been installed, and the water main piping has been installed.

Weather permitting, crews will continue with water main filling and testing, followed by water service line installation.

The contractor anticipates following the City holiday schedule and will be out of the roadways on December 24, 25, 26, 31, and January 1.

Thank you to everyone for your continued patience while navigating around and through the construction site.

*********

The Geneva Department of Public Works (DPW) will begin city-wide water meter improvements starting December 15th.

  • Most existing water meters in the City of Geneva will be affected.
  • Residents will receive letters in the mail with details about the project and instructions on how to schedule an appointment for meter replacement.
  • Water meters that have already been upgraded to cellular meters do not require this work.
  • This project is being completed by Hydro Utilities, LLC in partnership with the City of Geneva DPW.
  • If you have not received a letter, you do not need to schedule an appointment at this time.

For questions, please contact Kevin Reed at (315) 789-3101 or email complaints@cityofgenevany.gov.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this important infrastructure upgrade.
