Call for Wait List ApplicationsThe City of Geneva is making a Housing Repair Survey of Interest form available to all home owners and tenants to help identify repair needs that could support future grant applications for housing rehabilitation assistance. The City will use the results of the Survey to help decide whether to seek federal and state funding in the future that could help eligible home owners and/or landlords with needed structural and mechanical repairs and improvements. The City is seeking information about households facing major problems in all types of housing within the community. Problems that affect health and safety or the energy efficiency of the home or apartment should be noted, and those problems could include roofing, windows and doors, lack of insulation, heating and electrical systems, siding, porches, steps and landings, water and sewer issues, plumbing, and interior stairs and flooring. If you are interested in being placed on a Waiting List if the City seeks housing grant funding in the future, submit this Survey of Interest to the Department of Planning & Economic Development at City Hall – 47 Castle St., Geneva, NY 14456 or email to dwest@geneva.ny.us. All household information will be kept confidential, this may be shared with a consultant for grant writing but will not be shared with other departments including Building and Codes, Fire, etc. Note that submitting a Survey does not guarantee that the City will be able to obtain funding or operate a housing program in the future, but it does help!
