Geneva, NY will lie in the path of totality for the April 8th, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of April 8th, from planning TIPS to FAQs. Please be sure to plan ahead! Experts say to prepare as you would for a major snow or weather event. Past eclipses in other parts of the country give a good indication that increased traffic to the area means roadways will be more congested and lines at the grocery store will be longer. Avoid all non-essential travel. See our attached map for parking and shuttle information! Please consider car-pooling to lessen the burden on parking and traffic flow. The City is offering FREE continuous shuttles from 10-5pm the day of the eclipse. Parking and pick-up for the shuttle is available at the RealEats (old Tops) parking lot: 1 Montmorency Wy., Geneva, NY 14456 & overflow in the adjacent lot: 833 Rt 5, Geneva, NY 14456. The shuttle drop off is at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center. Parking at the Welcome Center is available for handicap parking ONLY! Remember, you can also view the eclipse anywhere you will have clear visibility. The easiest way to see the eclipse is from your home. No need to travel through all the expected traffic!
