The City DPW is currently operating the Resource Recover Park facility at 45 Doran Ave for fall leaves and yard debris drop off Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PMThe facility and vermiculture trenches at Doran Avenue had been operated under contract with Closed Loop Systems. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Closed Loop Systems ended their operation last month. While the city continues to plan for ongoing operations at the site, the local compost hauler, Growing Cycle, has provided two green toters allowing drop off service for residents who had a prior agreement for bringing food scraps to Doran Avenue. Growing Cycle is offering this service at no charge to the city. They also provide a curbside compost pickup option to those interested for a small fee. A sign with their contact information has been posted at the Doran Avenue gate and below. We apologize for any inconvenience the Closed Loop System situation has caused. We hope to report back on a solution soon and remain committed to diverting food waste from the landfills.
